Marriage Preparation

Couples seeking marriage are asked to contact their local parish at least 1 year prior to the marriage. This allows sufficient time to fill out the needed paperwork while taking the time to journey with couples preparing for their most special day.

Preparation includes meeting with the local priest (or deacon) who will be presiding at the celebration in addition to a Marriage Preparation program, which takes place at the parish. Alternative arrangements for the preparation may also be made in consultation with the presider.

Catholic Engaged Encounter
Another alternative for marriage prep, is to do a couples retreat. Catholic Engaged Encounter (CEE) provides quality preparation for marriage in a weekend retreat presented in a prayerful atmosphere. The weekend is Catholic in thought, morality, ritual and expression.
