Dear Parents of Catholic children (age 7 and older),
Grade 2 is an important year in the faith journey of your child. In our Catholic Schools they learn about the love of Jesus always and especially in God’ Sacraments. The Sacraments are prepared for and celebrated in your local Catholic Church where you and your children join weekly with their brothers and sisters in Christ to praise God and receive His loving presence. We know that many children have missed out on these Sacraments due to the pandemic or just life circumstances.
We at Holy Cross, Mary Immaculate and St. Andrew the Apostle Churches are excited to welcome you and your children who are baptized Catholic to prepare for and receive the grace of Jesus’ presence in the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. The Sacrament of First Reconciliation is an essential part of preparing to receive Jesus in First Holy Communion. Our Fall classes are filled. We are now accepting registrations for our Winter/Spring 2025 Session. The full schedule of parent meeting, classes and celebrations of the Sacraments are below.
As we are now a family of parishes, the children belonging to all three churches will attend 8 classes together. The classes will be held on Saturdays from 2 -3 pm at Mary Immaculate Church (1980 Trafalgar St.) OR on Tuesdays from 5 -6pm at St. Andrew the Apostle(1 Fallons Lane). As one parent will be attending class with their child, we will not be holding classes at Holy Cross only because of the limited parking. We will participate in special events at Holy Cross (10 Elm St.).
The Sacrament of First Reconciliation will be celebrated at Mary Immaculate Church for all the children. The children will receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion in Holy Cross, or Mary Immaculate or St. Andrew the Apostle, depending on which Church your family is registered.
Books/Materials
We will be using a variety of learning supplies. In order to cover the cost of the learning materials, we ask that a fee of $45.00 is submitted along with your registration form. (please, let Francine know if this is a financial hardship for your family).
SPRING SESSIONS: All registrations forms and fees for Spring Session are due before Friday, January 10, 2025.

When you fill in your online registration form, the first question will ask if you are registering for the Fall Session or the Spring Session. When you answer that question, please write: Spring- Tuesdays OR Spring - Saturdays
Please register as soon as possible. Registrations received after January will be celebrated in the Fall/Winter of 2025. Spread the word.
